Volume alone never promotes a component. A type only earns one once its own past requests converge on a shape one template can actually cover.

Hawthorne Fitness's two-person marketing team logs every request from its 42 gym locations: a schedule graphic for one location, a referral card for another, a trainer spotlight, a flyer for a one-off community event. A six-month audit sorted 220 logged requests into eleven specific asset types. The highest-volume type by far, the local event flyer at 51 requests, still did not earn a self-serve component, because its requests never converged on one shareable layout.

Four other types cleared both conditions a component actually needs: at least fifteen requests logged in six months, and a structure consistent enough that one template with fill-in fields covers most of them. Instagram class-schedule graphics, referral cards, trainer spotlights, and new class-launch announcements, 127 of the 220 requests combined, each earned a full specification in Component Guidance. Three months after launch, those four types generated 64 real requests; 58 were self-served directly by location managers, and only six still reached the design team, a 90.6 percent drop from what the prior six-month rate predicted.

Xanadu's own analysis of enterprise design queues puts the templatable share of a typical queue at 60 to 80 percent once a team actually audits it by request type, close to Hawthorne's own 58 percent. The gap between that advice and this pack is what happens after the audit. Every candidate here gets gated on volume and fit together, on a fixed schedule rather than once, and anything that fails either half keeps escalating to a real creative brief instead of a template forced onto it.

Is this template free?

What format are the downloaded files?

How is this different from Bynder, Canto, or Frontify?

Those platforms solve turning an approved template into a locked, fillable form, and they solve it well. None of them decide which asset type earns a template in the first place. This pack automates that decision from a team's own request history instead of leaving it to whoever's judgment happens to be in the room.
